Phil Knight is a very intelligent man with some great ideas. First, Knight started selling shoes from the trunk in the back of his car. Then 40 years later he is one the most richest guys alive with one of the most popular sports business's around. In the 1980s and 1990s Phil signed some HUGE advertisement contracts that changed the rules of sports marketing. He started creating high-performance sports gear that all the kids wanted. After all of the business he started recieving, he then hired outsiders to oversee financial situations and appareal lines. He devoted himself to his work and tried his very best to do what he could to recieve as much business and happy customers. Every detail mattered to him and he gave it his all. This past year Nikes earnings have gone up 27% from the previous year and sales have gone up 15%. Last Novemeber Knight hired 57 year old William Perez as the CEO. Perez was the former chief of S.C Johnson & Son Inc. Knight is now making sure that Perez can make the best of Nike veterans.
